Students' Guide to Distance Learning at UW

We invite all students to use the Students' Guide to Distance Learning at UW. It contains information, instructions and tips to help you navigate the Kampus platform, find courses and attend online classes.

To use the Students' Guide, you must log in with your CAS account (PESEL number and USOS password).

How to get prepared for the online written exam on the Kampus platform?

    • The examiner will inform you about the date and place of the exam. Check your mailbox! Remember that in accordance with the Study Regulations, you are obliged to use uw.edu.pl e-mail domain.
    • At least 3 days before the exam date, check if you can log in to https://elearning.ckc.uw.edu.pl/  with your CAS account.Use the same number (PESEL number or the other ID USOS number) and the password that you use to login to USOS.
    • The exams you have been assigned to will appear in the “My Exams” tab on the website https://elearning.ckc.uw.edu.pl/.
    • You can also enter the exam space the standard way. Log into the Kampus-egzaminy platform https://kampus-egzaminy.ckc.uw.edu.pl using your CAS account. From the course categories choose the unit or faculty that issues the exam, then click the exam title to enter the exam space.
    • In “My Exams” tab you will see the list of your exams and a time-tracker showing how much time is left to the beginning of each exam. Only when this date comes will you be able to enter the exam by clicking on its name. The link will take you directly to the exam.
    • We recommend using Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

      What if something goes wrong?

        • I have forgotten my password to the CAS account.
You can recover your CAS account password at https://logowanie.uw.edu.pl/passwd-change/reset?locale=en.
        • I cannot log in with my CAS account - I get a message saying that an email address is missing on my CAS account.
Contact the office or the USOS representative at your department as soon as possible in order to complete it. Your email address must be added in the USOS to make it possible for you to log in on the platform successfully.
        • I can't see my exam in the “My Exams” tab.
          • Cause 1 - the exam has not been created on the Kampus platform yet. Perhaps your department has not ordered it yet or the exam is still being prepared on the platform.
          • Cause 2 - you are not enrolled in the USOS list as a participant to this course, thus to the exam. If you know that this is the case, please contact the examiner who should ask the CKC administrators to add you to the exam. Thanks to that you will be able to take an exam, but your grade could be added to USOS only if you are enrolled to this course in USOS.
          • Cause 3 - perhaps your exam is not going to take place on the “Kampus-exams” platform or it hasn’t been reported to us as an exam (you should ask your examiner to check and explain it).
        • When I click on the exam’s title, I still cannot access the exam.
The exam link will become active (and you will be able to click it) only when the exam starts.
        • My internet connection has been lost.
How to recognize it: after clicking on any button, the exam page disappears and I receive the information that my internet connection has been lost.
          • Do not close the browser window.
          • Do not go back with the arrow in the browser.
          • Refresh the page by pressing the F5 key or using the "Refresh" option.
          • If the exam is not over yet and you regain your connection, you will be able to continue the exam.
          • If the exam is over, note the time you lost the connection and contact the examiner.
        • The platform slowed down during the exam to such an extent that I couldn't add my answers.
          How to recognize it:
          - I click on the "Next Page"/"Save attempt" button but nothing happens
          - after clicking on the button nothing happens and then a window with a message pops up
There may be a problem either with your internet connection, your browser or with the platform. Take a screenshot (Printscreen / PrtSc key) and note the time the problem occurred. Inform the examiner.
            • I have the internet connection but the platform has stopped working.
How to recognize it: for example, you can get the message "Error code 502: Bad Gateway"
Take a screenshot (Printscreen / PrtSc key) and note the time the problem occurred. Most likely, the other students also have the same problem at the same time. Inform the examiner.
